In 2010, the HSFPD Auxiliary started with family and friends of firefighters helping on scenes and at trainings. Our numbers quickly grew and rehab procedures were established. Our duties include, but are not limited to, assisting with accountability, monitoring vitals, and providing hydrations and nourishment to all those on scene. Most Auxiliary members, though not required, are certified first responders and do run medical calls along with our firefighters.

In 2012 the department purchased a retired ambulance and converted it into a rehab vehicle which carries such equipment as cooling chairs, a pop-up tent, a misting fan, tables, coolers and most importantly rehab personnel.

We meet twice a month for business and on-going training. If you or someone you know would be interested in joining the department as an auxiliary member, we would love to speak with you. Please click here to complete a membership application or contact the department’s business office at (573) 896-4589. We look forward to hearing from you.

Founded as a volunteer fire department in 1970, and becoming a Fire Protection District in 1988, the Holts Summit Fire Protection District has been proudly serving the citizens of Southwest Callaway County for more than 40 years. The department currently has two fire stations serving our citizens. Station 1, located at the intersection of Center Street and South Summit in Holts Summit, houses the departments administrative staff, primary response apparatus, and training facility/community room. Station 2, located at the intersection of Highway AA and County Road 4044, houses additional apparatus.
