Comprehensive training, turnout gear, and equipment are fully provided by the district at no cost.
Our Junior Responder program introduces young adults ages 14 to 17 to the fire and emergency services, building leadership skills, teamwork, and operational fundamentals. Junior members train alongside active responders, participate in drills, learn basic rescue and CPR techniques, and assist with non-hazardous station activities.
Safety & Program Limitations: The safety and education of our junior members come first. Junior responders are strictly prohibited from entering hazardous environments (IDLH atmospheres, active interior structural firefighting, or hazardous materials hot zones) and cannot operate emergency apparatus or power rescue tools. Participation requires written parental/guardian consent and strict adherence to curfew and academic standing requirements.
Part-time firefighters provide reliable staffing to maintain rapid, professional emergency response throughout the district. Primary duties include responding to structural fires, hazardous materials incidents, motor vehicle collisions, and medical emergencies; performing apparatus and station maintenance; conducting pre-incident planning; and participating in company-level training drills.
